Beaverhead River Fly Fishing Report

FLS-Smith-2015-Gear-BW[2]We’ve been fishing in the often ignored water below Dillon. The water is off-color and a little mossy, but nothing like the Homeric weeds that come off the Missouri River. San Juan worms #8 and Purple Lightning Bugs #16, make for a very productive day with a few fish over 18 inches.

The weather for the optimist is hazy; for the pessimist, smokey; and for the angler, it is all cloud cover. When in doubt, put on a Sparkle Minnow #6 and wait for the magic to happen.
